We are excited to announce the first session of the before school choir program this year at West Jordan Elementary for 3rd-6th grades! This will be the first of two eight-week choir sessions. The second session will be starting in the spring. Practices will be held from 7:45 to 8:15 a.m. in the Music Room on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Tuesday, October 23rd. The performance will be December 14th at 6:30 p.m. Check the calendar for exact practice dates. All students must have a signed permission slip to participate. Click on the link below to print one if your child did not bring a permission slip home. Also, we ask that if a student will miss more than three choir practices that they wait until the spring session to participate, so they will have enough time to learn all the music.

LEGO Engineering Team -

LEGO engineering team meets every Tuesday at 7:45 am. It is a very hands-on extra-curricular before school organization that allows students to work with other students in different grades throughout the school. Working with peers, students design and build structures and put their ideas through multiple tests measuring size, length, strength, weight, etc.

The Board Game Society
The Board Game Society is the perfect place for our students to spend their Wednesday afternoons! As a group, we get together for a little healthy competition and learning. Each week we play a new game that focuses on strategy, memory, math, or reading skills, and sometimes all four at the same time! The Board Game Society gives students the chance to learn about statistics and game strategy, as well as how to lose or win with grace, all while having fun with a new game. Many of the society students also go home and teach their families how to play games! It also pulls them away from the screens that take so much of their time. It's a fun and exciting society that gives students a new environment for learning.
West Jordan String Orchestra
rehearsals have begun for our new orchestra Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:05-3:50pm in the Media Center. It is not too late to sign up. 4th through 6th Grade students are invited. Tuition is $100 for the rest of the school year. Fee Waivers are available in the office. Enrollment forms are available in the office.
